Tikal and Uaxactun Overnight (2 days/1 night)

(Day One) - At approximately 6:00 a.m. you will be picked up at your hotel in Guatemala City and transferred to the airport for your flight to Flores. On arrival you will be driven to Uaxactun which is believed to be the place where Maya culture was consolidated, its writing system perfected, and its calendar was begun. One of its outstanding buildings is the astronmical observatory. In the afternoon you will transfer to the Camino Real Tikal Hotel for overnight.

(Day Two) - Today you will transfer to Tikal to visit the "Q" Complex, the Great Plaza, squared-off with the pyramids of the Grand Jaguar and the Masks, the Palace of the Nobles, and Pyramid IV. This is the highest of the Maya pyramids, from the top of which you have a complete view of Tikal. You will also visit the Lost World Complex. After lunch, visit the museum which houses some of the many pre-Columbian art treasures. Return to Flores to board your flight back to Guatemala City and to your hotel.

Price: $511 per person double occupancy. Includes transfers, roundtrip air between Gua Cty and Flores, transportation between Flores, Uaxactun and Tikal, entrance fees, picnic lunchs (2), overnight accommodations, baggage handling and breakfast (1).
